Golang Job: Junior GoLang Engineer

The opportunity

The Golang engineering role plays a critical part in connecting Restaurants with the Just Eat Takeaway platform. We are looking for engineers to take our integration platform to the next level whilst maintaining core functionality on which thousands of our partners depend.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Definition - develop a solid understanding of our product and help to contribute ideas and suggestions
• Operating - follow our processes and patterns in order to ensure reliable, clean code and take responsibility for the running of our components in production
• Communicate - transparently communicate the progress of your work and discuss ideas with your team and Technology Manager
• Teamwork - work closely with others, taking on ideas and suggestions and putting forward your own ideas
• Learning and Development - own your own learning and development, with support from the wider team and time set aside in your work day to build up your skill set

Your profile & Experience:

• Interest or experience in a coding language. The team mostly uses Golang for our back-end components
• Experience of working with others
• Experience or interest in application development and writing good clean code

You'll have an advantage if you have an understanding of:

• Cloud environments. We use AWS
• Testing approaches such as unit testing or functional testing
• Working within an e-commerce business where reliability is critical
